Son of Jacob Skipper (mother unknown) He married Alsy Ann Elizabeth Coxwell on 04 Jan 1852. He was a farmer. He and Alsy had 5 children: George Washington Skipper, Henry Jefferson Skipper, Martha O Skipper, Mary Delilah Skipper and John Thomas Skipper. On 21 Sep 1861 he joined the CSA Co B of the 27 th GA Infantry. In 1864 he was wounded at Cold Harbor and died in the Jackson Hospital, located in Richmond Virginia
