NICHOLS-George Cleveland Collins Sr., 56, died Friday in a Mullins Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the New Home Baptist Church No. 2 Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins was born in Marion County, a son of the late Sidney and Nora Brown Collins. He was a veteran of World War II with the Navy.
Surviving Are: his widow, Mrs. Alma Johnson Collins of Nichols; four son, Floyd Collins of Henderson, NC, George C. Collins Jr., USN, Charleston, Lewis David Collins and Maxie Collins of Nichols; nine daughters, Mrs. Arlene Fryar of Wilmington, N.C., Miss Helen Collins, Miss Bobbie Jean Collins, Miss Nora Jean Collins, and Miss Mary Ellen Collins of Nichols, Mrs. Faye Carolyn Winningham of Columbia, Mrs. Frances Kay Dubose of Zelwood, FL, Mrs. Rose Marie Richardson of Hemingway, Mrs. Edith Mae Wall of Johnsonville; two brothers, Bennett Collins of Knoxville, TN, and Ernest Collins of Nichols; two sisters, Mrs. Stacy Batson of Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. Lille C. Frugole of Knoxville, TN; and 11 grandchildren.
