Leonard Lloyd Ballew, 93, of OKC passed away Dec. 19, 2011. He was born Aug. 29, 1918 to Jesse & Estella Ballew in Putnam, Ok. Leonard attended Custer City School District. He worked for Continental Emsco Co. as a salesman from 1943-1980. Leonard enjoyed gardening & drinking coffee with his friends Saturday mornings. He was a member of the Crestwood Baptist Church & the Myrtle Masonic Lodge #145 for 61 years. Leonard married Pearl Glass on Nov 1, 1943 at 1st Baptist Church in OKC. He is survived by many nieces, nephews & other loving family members & friends. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Sherman & Estella Rush Ballew; siblings, Emory Everett Ballew, Grady Augusta Ballew Shepard, Carl Ballew, Frank Ballew, Vernie Ballew, Gertrude Retta Ballew Deal, Ruth Opal Ballew Alvis, Floyd Chester Ballew, Emma Odell Ballew Karr, George Washington Ballew, Stephen DeKalb Ballew, Fred Ballew & Jack Ballew. He is the last of this Ballew generation. Graveside Services for Leonard will be held 1:30 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Watonga I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore, OK.
