Ruby Jeanette Satterfield Abercrombie, 72, of Fountain Inn, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Gallatin, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Ruby Nell Hazel Satterfield. She was a retired tow motor operator for the W.R. Grace Co. and was a member of the Christian faith.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Alice Lockman-Douglas of Gallatin, Tenn., and Tracy Harper of Fountain Inn; a son, Rex Abercrombie of Simpsonville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Abercrombie; a son, Jimmy Abercrombie; and a brother, Ernest Satterfield.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Cannon Funerals and Cremations, Simpsonville, with the Rev. Al Buckta officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720. The family will be at 235 Bruce St., Lot #4, Simpsonville.
