Mrs. Zoe E. MacWilliams

Mrs. Zoe E. MacWilliams, 78, widow of Roy A. MacWilliams of 157 High St. died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Oakland, daughter of Herbert F. and Maude Young Stevens, and attended schools in Waterville. She was a graduate of Westbrook Seminary in Portland. She was employed for many years in the office of Dr. Edward A Greco Sr., retiring in 1965.

She was a member of the D.A.R., the Women's Literary Union, the White Shrine and the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Her husband died in 1964.

She leaves a step-son, J. Donald MacWilliams of Portland: a step-daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Arline) Donovan of South Portland: nine grandchildren: a brother, Stanley Stevens of Augusta and a sister, Mrs. Shirley Willette of Auburn.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 749 Congress St. with interment in Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
