Richard Michael Loveland, age 59 of Rowlett, TX, passed away June 20, 2010. He was born February 5, 1951, in Bamberg, Germany, to James and Katharina Loveland.A graduate of Southern State University in Colorado, Richard began his career as a land surveyor in Dallas. He married Belinda on May 22, 1982. They lived in Rowlett where they raised their son Dustin, born in 1983. Most recently he was part owner in Global Innovations where he worked for the past 19 years. Richard worked closely with his wife, Belinda, in several mentoring programs for struggling youths. He was a trusted friend and loving father. Richard enjoyed vacationing with his family, laying poolside, and keeping his lawn and cars in pristine condition. He will be truly missed by all.
Richard is survived by his best friend and son Dustin Loveland and wife Kimberly; son Christian Loveland and wife Leigh Ann; parents James and Katharina Loveland; brothers John and Robert Loveland; sisters Lauren Loveland and Kristina Williams; grandchildren Isabelle and Ryken; nephews Michael and John Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews including Austin Stevenson, Tiffany, Madison, Michael and John Jr.
A memorial service will be held 10:00am Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Lake Pointe Church Chapel with Dr. Bill Cathey officiating.
