Joe T. Truman, 49, of Pinch, died Jan. 2, 2004, at C.A.M.C. Memorial Division emergency room.
He was born Feb. 2,1954, in Charleston, to P.J. and Evelyn Truman. He was assistant manager of Angler's Roost in Mink Shoals and a Freewill Baptist by faith. He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. Joe was a wonderful, devoted, and loving dad, husband, son, brother and Pa Pa.
He is survived by his parents; his loving wife Darlene G. Truman; daughters, Tammy Boyko and Amy Jones, both of Charleston, Trudy Truman of Pinch; sons, Timmy Schultz of Elkview, Joey Truman of Walton, and Luke Truman of Elkview; sister, Brenda Truman of Nashville, Tenn., brothers, Allen Truman of Lewisburg, W.Va., Fred, Timmy and Travis Truman, all of Charleston; 11 grandchildren and the two on the way.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at the Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, with the Rev. Larry Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Truman Family Cemetery, Ivydale, W.Va.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
