Berchie Wayne Norris, 64, of Ravenswood, died Dec. 16, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1938, in Martha, Ky., a son of Sarah Edwards Norris and the late Emmett Norris. He was owner and operator of Norris' Sales and Service for many years and a retired contractor and owner of Norris Apartments. He was an avid golfer. He became a brother in Christ on Dec. 9, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann Norris of Ravenswood; his mother, Sarah Norris of Ashland, Ky.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mitch and Stephanie Norris of Cottageville, W.Va., and Kevin and Terri Norris of Washington, W.Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Steve Stanley of Ravenswood; six granddaughters, Ashley Stanley, Kayla Norris, Sarah Norris, Kassie Norris, Kourtney Norris and Sierra Norris; two brothers, Fred Norris and Bill Norris, both of Ashland, Ky.; and one sister, Loeda White of Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father; one son, Keith Norris; two brothers; and one sister.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with the Pastor Allen Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
