Gladys M. Bell passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning. Gladys had been fighting cancer for more than 16 years.
Gladys was born in Monrovia on Oct. 5, 1932 but has lived in Beaumont since 1973. Gladys was the founder of the Beaumont Swapmeet but retired as a Licensed Real Estate Sales person since 1969.
Gladys also participated in Eastern Star Chapter #239 Richland, Washington since 1954, Fraternal order of Eagles #3768 in Beaumont since 1977, The Independent Order of
Foresters #0692 since 1977 and a member of Banning, Beaumont and Cherry Valley Board of Realtors.
Gladys is survived by her companion Lloyd Chalcraft of Richland, Washington; 2 daughters, Kandi Sewell of Riverside and Vicki Burgin of Banning; son-in-law, Steve Burgin and 3 grandchildren, Travis, Tara and Breanna Burgin of Banning.
Services for Gladys Bell will be held at Wiefels & Son, 50 E. Nicolet St. in Banning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2005.
