Mrs. Angeline Madison, wife of Merritt Madison, died at their home on College avenue as a result of heart disease.
Mrs. Madison was a native of Southampton, England. She was married to Mr. Madison in San Francisco in 1864 and in 1874 came with her husband to Livermore, where they resided for 27 years.
Mrs. Madison left a husband and five children. Of the latter, the daughters, Mrs. Ida Anderson and Misses Maud and Clara, reside in Livermore and the sons, Frank and Harry, are in business in Lodi. Mrs. John McIver of Livermore is a sister.
The funeral took place from the Methodist church and the remains were laid to rest in the Masonic Cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by the friends of the family.
Mr. Madison, who was at Lane's Hospital, in San Francisco, for medical treatment of one of his eyes, was able to leave long enough to attend the funeral.
