She was born July 1, 1917, in Oakwood, Ohio, the daughter of Hershal and Blanche (Harmon) Winner. On July 28, 1938, she married William "Bernard" Seslar, who preceded her in death on May 16, 1988. She was a member of Paulding United Methodist Church, John Paulding Historical Society, Paulding County Election Board, the Paulding County Hospital Auxiliary, United Methodist Church Women and Paulding High School Music Mothers. She was previously employed by the former Burke Shoe Store, DeLaet Shoe Store and Stokley Canning Plant, all of Paulding.
She is survived by a son, James (Mary Ann) Seslar, Gallup, New Mexico; two daughters Betty Jean "Cookie" (Dave) Adolph of Columbus, Ohio, and Cindy (Dan) Stuart, Fort Wayne, Indiana; a sister, Kathleen Cooper, Garrett, Indiana; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Basil Winner and infant William Winner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 31, at the Paulding United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will be in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Friday, December 30, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
