Mrs. Ada May Burch, 79, of 770 South Avenue, died at 2:30 a.m. today in St. John's Hospital, where she had been a patient since Sunday.

A native of Seymour, she had lived here for 60 years. Mrs. Burch was a member of the First Baptist Church, and had served for 28 years as director of the Greene County Baptist Church Training Union, serving as assistant director for two years before that. She retired from her position on Sept. 11, 1972, when her husband died.

Surviving are two brothers, Jess Smith, of Cleveland, Okla.; and Ray Smith, of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Goldie Ferrell, of Ava; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ralph Thieme.
