Beatrice Elizabeth Clevenger was born in Ladora, Iowa the daughter of Wilmer Franklin and Maud Close Clevenger. She attended and graduated from Ladora High School.
She was married to Elmer Raymond McDonald on August 22, 1933 in Lancaster, Missouri. They were the parents of four daughters; Doris, Frances, Darlene and Sherilee. They moved to Grinnell in 1938.
Bea was employed at the Grinnell Shoe Factory for 22 years, until its closure in 1964. She moved to Malcom in 1967, where she resided until moving to Montezuma in December 2010.
Bea was a member of the Church of Nazarene for over 60 years. She was the treasurer of the church for several years. Bea took great pride in her family and her faith.
