Gloria came from a little town called Valley, Alabama. She went to BJU for college and met her husband there, who was, Kenneth D. Epps. She earned a Biology degree and used her teaching skills several times during her lifetime. She was a kindhearted person, and often would help people that she never even knew. She was very committed to helping in her boy scouts group and often went on all of the trips that they had. She loved doing geneology and was instrumental in finding information for her mother's line (Gladney) and helped other members in this line compile a geneology book on the Gladney's.
She died from a 3 yr battle with breast cancer in 2003. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth D. Epps, 2 daughters and 1 son. She also had 3 grandchildren. They all live in Greenville, SC.
