Mrs. Skipper Is Laid to Rest In Sardis Cemetery
Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Victoria Skipper 78, who died at her home in Sardis at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday after an illness. Services were held Tuesday at the Sardis Methodist Church with the Rev. Harris of Forreston to direct the services. Interment was held in Sardis Cemetery.
Mrs. Skipper had been a resident of the Sardis community for 33 years having moved to Texas from Georgia in her girlhood.
Survivors include her husband George Skipper, five sons, Ben and Sam of Sardis, Harrison of Anahuac, Bob of Longview and Chester of Ovilla, four daughters, Mrs. O.W. Stewart and Mrs. Everett Brintle of Sardis, Mrs. Lizzie Duncan of East Texas and Mrs. Walter Bailey of Lone Elm.
Mrs. Skipper was a member of the Baptist Church.
