Graveside services for Bessie Arthur, 94, of Lubbock will be at 3 p.m. today at City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Lutheran Home of West Texas.

She was born May 10, 1906, in Jayton. She married Charlie Arthur on Oct. 20, 1928, in Jayton. He died June 1, 1970. She was a homemaker. She moved to Lubbock in 1952. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a great-grandson.

Survivors include three sons, Sonny of Jayton, Charles of Lubbock and Weldon of Amarillo; three daughters, Laverne Grider of Granbury, Carolyn Exum of Bosque Farms, N.M., and Kay Ashmore of Hale Center; a sister, Imarie Donoho of McAllister, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
