Darius Adams Ogden died very suddenly Tuesday evening, September 24, 1918, at his home in Rochester, aged about 70 years. He had been at his business in the Edwards Dry Goods Store that day, and about 5:30 complained of feeling ill. He was taken home in an automobile, walked into the house, and went to his room to lie down. Fifteen minutes later he died. He was a resident of Penn Yan many years, and was postmaster here in President Cleveland’s firs administration. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Miss Edith, of Rochester, and Mrs. James Finch of New York; a brother Charles E. Ogden, in Rochester, and a sister Miss Harriet Ogden, in Penn Yan. The remains will be brought here for burial on the 2:10 train Friday afternoon (to-day).
