Chester Adams, 62, Logan Trace, Stanford, died Thursday August 1, at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born in Lincoln County on March 20, 1923. He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church and a carpenter for Lincoln Construction Co.

Survivors include his wife, Silverene Adams; two sons, Chester W. Adams, Danville, and Danny R. Adams, Downey California; five daughters, Judy Jacobs, Waynesburg, Sheila Clausen, Crab Orchard, Jane Greer and Gladys Lamb, both of Nicholasville, and Shirley Stringer, Franklin, Ohio; two brothers, William Adams, Norwood, Ohio, and Estil Adams, Goshen, Ohio; five sisters, Bertha Whitter and Laura Griffin, both of Eubank, Lily Todd and Rosie Padgett, both of Waynesburg, and Lucy Smith, Muncie, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Fox Funeral Home, Stanford, with the Revs. Morris Tanner and Vola Brown officiating.

Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
