James Samuel Lillibridge was born in 1881 in Coshocton to Alonzo Lillibridge and Lucinda Dunfee Lillibridge. He married Gaynell (Nellie) Corder on the 14th of May 1904 at the age of 23. They had three children. Clarence that was born in 1905 and passed away just ten months later; James Edward that was born in 1906; and Gail that was born on 16 February 1908. Tragically, Nellie passed away just six days after giving birth to her daughter. Even more tragically, little Gail passed away on the 18th of June 1908 at just 4 months old. He remarried Nelvia Shaffer on 27 February 1909. He was a stepfather to William David, Mary and Georgia Whiteus. Nelva and he had nine more children. Lucinda (that sadly passed away at 7 months and 12 days) Dollie, John, Harold, Albetta (that was stillborn), Eileen, William (that passed away at only one hour), William, and Leora. James and Nelva were married for 49 years when he passed away at the age of 74 on March 1955.
