Second Lieutenants Kenneth E. Aimee (Brooklyn, NY) and David Nadel (home town, Elizabeth, NJ; residing in Flanders, NY) died instantly when their Air Force jet trainer crashed on takeoff from the Westhampton Air Force base during a routine instrument test flight. They were members of the 331st Fighter Interceptor Squadron stationed at the base.
Lt. Aimee was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aimee of Brooklyn, NY. Lt. Nadel was married recently and resided in Flanders, NY with his wife.
