Donna was born May 22, 1934 in Stinesville into the home of J. Frank and Anna Ophelia (Clark) Ellett. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bloomington and the Bloomington Newcomers Club. Donna loved to play bridge and sing in the church choirs in New Providence, N.J. and Addison, IL.
She is survived by one son, Jay F. Grinnell (Jean) of Bartlett, IL; daughters, Tracie Grinnell of Aurora, IL and Gina Caputo (Nick) of Hillsborough, N.J.; brother, John Ellett of Ft. Wayne; sisters, Ann Eads of Spencer and Betty Meek of Cataract Falls; and four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Gianna, Nickolas and Alissa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grinnell who died May 11, 2008, her parents, and one sister, Nancy Canada.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville. Burial is to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Gosport. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
