In her marriage application (29 Apr 1944) with William A. Reichard , her parents are listed as Lesher Reinert and Lizzie Fegely. (Lesher married Laura Reinert later and Lizzie married Nathan Stauffer – she is listed as Mrs. Nathan Stauffer on the marriage license application of Bertha Reinert and Morris D. Thompson. They were married 16 Nov 1901. He was widowed in 1897. Morris died in 1916 and I could not find him in the 1900 or 1910 censuses.
Sometime after 1920, Bertha married the 25-year-older, twice widowed Eugene Maurice Kemmerer of Emmaus. After his death in 1936, she stayed in his home and in 1940 she lived there with a lodger, William A. Reichard (also twice widowed, in 1906 and 1934.) On 29 Apr 1944, they were married. He is buried in the Emmaus Moravian Cemetery and she is in St. John's Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery in Emmaus where Morris D. Thompson is also buried.
