PLEASANT HILL - Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Boone Lewter, 61, of Pleasant Hill died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids.

Ann was born Aug. 1, 1943 in Halifax Co., the daughter of the late Thomas David Boone Sr. and Mary Whitehead Boone. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas David Boone Jr. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Lewter; her daughters, Mary Lewter Pair and her husband Jimmy and Tammy Lewter, all of Pleasant Hill; her sister, Nancy W. Love and her husband Buddy, also of Pleasant Hill; three aunts, Ruth W. Taylor of Emporia, Va., Marie Williams of Jackson and Helen Lanier of Greensboro; her uncle, John Boone of Kill Devil Hills; three grandchildren, Christina Ann Pair, Allison Michelle Pair and Jimmy Lee Pair; a nephew, John Rook and his wife Hope Taylor Rook; and a great nephew, Blake Rook, all of Pleasant Hill.

Massey Funeral Home of Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29 with the Rev. Carol Taylor and the Rev. Randy Baisey officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 and other times at home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Concord United Methodist Church or Saint Andrews United Methodist Church.
