Son of John Bowne and Dinah Underhill. Married Anne Field, daughter of Caleb Field and Anne Rodman, 20 Feb 1783 in Flushing, NY.
Underhill Genealogy: He inherited the Bowne House, which passed at his
death to his daughter, Mary Bowne Parsons. Her son, Samuel Bowne Parsons,
was a noted horticulturist. [vol. 5, p. 71]
