MRS. ADELIA DAMROW, 76, of R. 1, Cleveland, died Monday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Born in the Town of Meeme, (Manitowoc County), May 21, 1S92, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Anna Roethel. She attended district grade school and was confirmed at St John's Evangelical and Reformed Church in the Town of Herman.
On Nov. 4, 1916 she was married to Walter Damrow and the couple made their home on a farm in Herman. Her husband died in March, 1933. She continued to reside on the homestead since that time.
Mrs. Damrow was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran' Church, Herman, and its Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are two sons, Milton, Sheboygan, and Edwin, Town of Herman; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Elva) Herzog of Sheboygan, Mrs. Allen (Alice) Jaschob, R. 2, Kiel, and Mrs. Walter (Valeria) Rohde, R. 1, Sheboygan; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Arno Roethel, rural Elkhart Lake, and four sisters, Mrs. Hilda Lipschow, Milwaukee, Mrs. Erma Nennig, Kiel, Mrs. Orville George, Milwaukee, and Mrs, Viola Rabe, Kiel. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Church, Herman, with the Rev. John Potratz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Ball-horn Funeral Chapel after 4 p.m. Wednesday, until 11 a.m. Thursday, and at the church from noon until the time of services.
