Jeanette Jessie "Dolly" (Campbell) was born in Pottawattamie, Iowa her Father Alexander Campbell was 37 and her Mother Mary Ann (Mckenzie) was 31 both from Scotland. Jeanette married Harvey James Abel on 1 August 1900 in council bluffs. They had a daughter
Gladys (Abel) Welch and 3 sons Joe Alexander Ardell, Donald Bruce Abel and Kenneth "KC" Colin Ardell. Joe Abel moved to Washington State and changed his name from Abel to Ardell, most the family followed him and changed their name as well. Don Abel kept his family name and settled in Alaska.
