Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday July 2, 2016 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Gail Aurand officiating. Burial will be in the Louisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
Edna was born November 23, 1918 the daughter of Louis Carl and Virgie Mae Hubert Grote. On September 14, 1937 she married Lloyd Kelch in St. Charles. He preceded her in death. She later married Jim Kent. He preceded her in death. Edna is survived by one son Leslie (Pam) Kelch of Bowling Green; two daughters Linda (Larry) Willenbrink of Bowling Green, Melba Benn of Frankford; brother Louis Grote, Jr. of Kansas City; two sisters Francis (Ray) Grosvenor of Clayton, North Carolina, Betty Kordus of Oneida, New York; eleven grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren; extended family of 5 stepchildren and grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons Larry and Wayne Kelch; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Edna was a member of the Louisville Christian Church, the V.F.W. Ladies Auxilary and loved to play Bingo. She did a lot of gardening and was on a bowling league when she was younger.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Gary W. Benn, Justin Smith, Robert Kelch, Garrett Luebrecht, Geordan Luebrecht and Jake Mudd. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Branstetter and Dave Buckols.
Memorials may be made to the Louisville Christian Church or the Louisville Cemetery.
