ACOSTA, John A. Jr., passed December 22, 2011.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610, with the Rev. Ronald C. Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

A native of Tampa and a resident for 81 years, he was a dedicated staff member at Helping Hand Day Nursery & Kindergarten for 31 years.

Mr Acosta was preceded in death by his parents, Mable and John Acosta Sr; nephew, Ansel Acosta Sr; and sisters, Mrs. Rosa A Webber and Mrs. Altamese A. Brodie.

He leaves to cherish his memory his niece, Josephine Brodie Hubbard (Rev Ronald C Hubbard); nephews, Professor Lyman A Brodie (Janice) and Lyman Webber (Julie); and a host of other family and friends.

To honor Mr. Acosta's love and contributions to Early Childhood Education, in lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations may be made to the Altamese Brodie Scholarship fund c/o Mrs. Josephine B. Hubbard, 4623 W. El Prado Blvd., Tampa, FL 33629.
