NEW BEDFORD ~ Lillian A. (Da Costa) Allain 88, of New Bedford died Wednesday December 28, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness. She was the widow of Herve Allain and the companion of Gerry Schoorens of New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Amelia (Costa) Da Costa.
Mrs. Allain was employed as a clerk at the former Reca's Pharmacy and also at Buttonwood Park Senior Center for Coastline Elderly. She loved trips to Newport Grand, decorating her home and above all, she loved her family and friends.
Her family includes her 3 loving daughters, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Donald Da Costa and Hilda Brown.
