Marvin H. Eichorst, 80, of Glenview, Ill., died Thursday, May 2, at Brentwood North Nursing Home, Riverwood, Ill.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard C. Miller will officiate and the ashes will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Eichorst was born April 19, 1905, at Brillion, son of the late Henry and Bertha Krueger Eichorst. He grew up and was educated at Manitowoc and for over 40 years was employed with NBC as an Engineer at Buffalo, New York and Chicago, Ill., retiring in 1970. He married Dorothy Bahr, Oct. 23, 1931, at Cincinatti, Ohio. She preceded him in death April 2, 1977. Mr. Eichorst was active in Ham Radio with call letters W9RUK. He received distinction through his many radio activities.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Alfred Manske of Sheboygan; three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Eichorst and two brothers, Harold and Clarence.
A memorial fund has been established in his name. Friends may meet with the family at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 12:30 p.m. Friday until the time of services.
