He was the son of Matthew Bloom and Sara (Polhamus) Bloom

Daniel moved several times, and was at one point in Maryland for some time. He was living in Maryland when he became termially ill and died. His body was returned to Hunter's Funeral Home in Irvona, PA and for burial in Fruit Hill cemetey, Ansonville, PA.
