Lois (Mrs. Thomas) Johnson, 83, Elbow Lake, died April 17, 2005, in Elbow Lake.
She was born on Aug. 20, 1921, in Chokio, to Roy and Ella (Spaulding) Brown. She received her elementary education in Chokio and graduated from high school in Barrett.
On Nov. 4, 1942, she married Thomas Johnson in Moorhead. She faithfully followed her new husband to his many Naval assignments. She often said, "I followed him 'til my feet got wet, and then I had to let him get on the ship". When he was discharged, they moved back to Minnesota, and the couple finally settled in the Dalton area. Lois worked as a nurses' aide in the nursing homes in Henning
and Ottertail. She enjoyed her garden and flowers. They moved to Elbow Lake in 1995.
She is survived by her husband; daughter Shirley Klein, Monticello; granddaughter Stacey (Brad) Voigt, Maple Lake; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Brooke; sister Doris Alm, Cottonwood; brother Pat Brown, Dalton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Bob; her parents; and siblings: Frank, Ronald, Marvin and Bette.
Service: 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home
