Mrs. Cora Dimmitt, 84, died at her home on Ottumwa Route 7 early Sunday morning. She had been in failing health for some time.
She was the daughter of Adam and Nancy Jane Glenn Decker and was born May 11, 1880, north of Bladensburg. She resided all her life in Wapello County and had lived on the same farm for the past 54 years.
Mrs. Dimmitt was a member of the Bladensburg Christian Church.
Her marriage to Norman Dimmitt took place Oct. 27, 1909, in Ottumwa. He died Sept. 18, 1956. One sister and a brother also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Hart of Ottumwa, Route 7, and five grandchildren. . . .
The service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. William L. Kerr, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
