Mrs. Anna Zona McGinnis, 75, of Route 2, Versailles, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon Nov. 22, at her home. She was born March 9, 1901 in Morgan County, a daughter of the late Clark and Jennie Hasty Bias.

On June 12, 1917 she was married to William Boyd McGinnis, who survives at the home. She is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Laverne Wood, Sugar Creek, and Mrs. Gussie Ferguson, Independence; two brothers, Franklin and Woodrow Bias, both of Versailles; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ed Davenport, Versailles; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Pauline, Arvera, and Helen McGinnis, and one son, Greg McGinnis.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles.

Funeral services were conducted from the First Assembly of God Church on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m., the Rev. David Ash officiating. Hymns were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Leslie Howard, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Phyllis Fisher. Serving as pallbearers were Everett Bake, Kirby and Chris Ferguson, Greg McGinnis, Phineas Silvey, and Pete Whitten. Interment was in the Versailles Cemetery, under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.
