To Be Celebrated The Golden wedding anniversary
celebration of Mr. and
Mrs. Floyd Schmidt of Rt. 2,
Mishicot, will be observed with
an open house for friends and
relatives from 1:30 to 5 pm
Sunday at the Veterans' Club,
Mishicot. No formal invitations
have been sent.
Mrs. Schmidt, the former
Emily Juza, was born July 3,
1905, at West Kewaunee. Schmidt
was born Feb. 4, 1898, at
Mishicot. They were married November 18, 1925, Kewaunee. Since then they have resided on the
Schmidt home farm at Mishicot.
Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt have two
children, Denton Schmidt of
Mishicot and Mrs. Gunther
(Jeanette)Friedl of Elm Grove;
and five grandchildren
The couple took over the family
farm in 1926 John Schmidt,
grandfather of the celebrant,
homesteaded the farm in 1936.
Both honorees are in good
health and are active in gardening.
Mrs. Schmidt also does handiwork and spinning.

Floyd Schmidt, 79, of Rt. 2, Mishicot, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at
home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot.
The Rev. Bernard Setterland will officiate. Burial will be in Mishicot Public
Cemetery.
Mrs. Schmidt was born Feb. 4, 1898, in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late
William and Ida Wilms Schmidt. He married Emily Juza Nov. 18, 1925, in Kewaunee.
He farmed on the home farm all his life. Mr. Schmidt was a member of the Mishicot
Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Denton of Mishicot, a daughter, Mrs. Gunther
(Jeanette) Friedl of Elm Grove, a sister, Mrs. John (Carrie) Schmidt of
Reedsville and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers
and two sisters.
Friends may call in Lambert Funeral Home after 3 o'clock this Friday afternoon.
