Mrs. Hyla McGinnis, 68, died at the family home on Hwy 52 between Eldon and Tuscumbia on Saturday, March 31, 1973.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday in Versailles.
She was born in Gravois Mills on Nov. 27, 1904, the daughter of the late John and Lou (Marriott) Need.
On Dec. 4, 1922 she was married to William Frederick McGinnis who survives at the home.
Also surviving are a son, William (Buck) McGinnis, and a daughter, Mrs. Judith Allen, both of Eldon; a brother, Theodore Need, Higginsville; two sisters, Mrs. Vival Pryor, Stover, and Mrs. M__ Sponser, Stockton, Calif; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. McGinnis was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Chiplay, and a son, William Frederick McGinnis, Jr.
The Rev. Nelson Sachs officiated at the services Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers.
