"Dunlap, Margaret Stanard Borwn, born September 27, 1908, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Margaret Stanard and Joseph Ramsey Brown. She died at home peacefully on Monday night, September 2, 2003. She attended the Hockaday School in Dallas and Ogontz School in Rydell, Pennsylvania in 1925 before finishing her senior year traveling in Europe. She was a member of the Junior League of Dallas of which her mother was a founder, and did her volunteer work at the Children's Development Center and the Women's Exchange, and she made her debut in 1927 and led the Idlewild. Her artistic talents were many and they included playing the piano, painting, singing (for family enjoyment!), and writing poetry-wonderful legacies for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years-Hugh Dearborn Dunlap and her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her three children; Margaret "Peggy" Dunlap Thompson and her husband Jere, Devereux Brown Dunlap, and Hugh Dearborn Dunlap, Jr. ("Chris") and his wife Maureen. Her extended family includes 11 grandchildren; Michael D. Thompson and his wife Debora, Jere W. Thompson, Jr., and his wife Carolyn, Patrick J. Thompson and his wife Amy, Deborah Thompson Nelson and her huband Bruce, Kimberly Thompson Thornton and her husband Mark, Christopher D. Thompson and his wife Susie, David E. Thompson and his wife Lee, David D. Dunlap and his wife Laura, Joel D. Dunlap, Samuel S. Dunlap, and Peter D. Dunlap. She also is survived by 23 great grandchildren and 8 great great-granchildren. "Mimi" was adored by all and will be greatly missed by her family and her two loving and devoted caretakers, Betty Cadwell and Jean Myers, to whom her family is greatly indebted for making "Mimi's" life more comfortable these last five years. A Memorial Service will be held Friday September 26, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., in Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel with Father Pat Hanser officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to : Neustros Pequenos Hermanos: Friends of the Orphans, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, P.O.
