  Funeral services for Sam Joseph Damico, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with burial in Catholic Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

   Visitation is Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

     Mr. Damico, 91, died Jan. 2, 2012, at his home. He was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 27, 1920, to Joseph and Salvia Carnagio

     He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was a former owner and operator of a television and satellite repair shop. Mr. Damico was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Joe, Charlie, Frank, Tony and Nick Damico and an infant brother; and sister, Salva .

     Survivors are his brothers, Vincent Damico, of Brookhaven, and John Damico, of Brookhaven; several nieces and nephews, including Theresa Thompson; great nieces, Angela Smith and Lisa Thompson; and great-great-niece and nephew, Justin Smith and Anna Morgan Smith.

     Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Justin Scott Smith, Justin Kent Smith, Jimmy Smith, Mac Damico and Dennis Damico.

Sam, lived on South First Street in Brookhaven, MS. He never married or had children. During his time in the military, he worked in communication, and a most of his Military time was spent in the southern part of Italy.
