GREENWOOD - Albert L. Barrentine, age 68, died Monday January 2, 2012 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital from liver failure.

He was born in Greenwood February 3, 1943 to the late Edward Lafayette and Olga Beatrice Jones Barrentine and resided there most of his life. Mr. Barrentine served in the US Army in Hawaii and was employed over 30 years as a shift operator with Greenwood Utilities. Was a member of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God where he was a deacon and a Sunday school supt.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday 1/4/2012 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with Reverend Granville Wiggins officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Barefoot, Shannon Storms, Steve Boatner, Bobby Bennett, Lee Jones and Jerry Haley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trent Barrentine, Kimble Kelly, Dr. Charles Nause, Jr., Jim Riales and Johnny Ray Rickles. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery in Carroll County.

He is survived by his Wife of 49 years, Faye Jones Barrentine of Greenwood, Son, James Albert Barrentine of Greenwood, 2 Daughters, Sandra Faye Boatner of Pineville, LA. and Loretta Storms of Greenwood, 2 Sisters, Anne Johnson of Carrollton and Allene Oates of Greenwood and 6 Grandchildren.
