James "Jim" Paul Roberts, age 69, of Plainview died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born September 17, 1935 in Oemma, Texas to the late Henry Russell and Ida Mae (Nelson) Roberts. He was a truck driver, and employee for the Plainview Water Department, and a maintenance repairman for the Plainview-Rover School District.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Olin Eugene Roberts and father-in-law, Wesley E. Keeney.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Roberts; daughters, Tammy Patterson, Texas, Pamela Knutson, Rockport, Texas; son, James "Jimmy" Paul Roberts, Jr. Texas; stepchildren, Regeneia Dugan, Russellville, Donna Hulsey, Ola; sisters, Dorothy Clarice Berkeley, Madera, California, Betty Matheson Jones, Wing, Wanda Mae Hixon, Danville; mother-in-law, Paralee Keeney, Danville; half brother, Andrew William Thompson, Wing; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held July 20, 2004 at Cornwell Chapel in Danville with Rev. Tim Patton officiating. Interment was at Salem Cemetery, Plainview. Pallbearers were Bryan Keeney, Jon McKinnon, Steve Matheson, Matt Hulsey, Ron Roberts and Andy Thompson. Arrangements made by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
