He married first to Gladys Ethel Jeddore-Fisher on September 23, 1912. He married second to Gwendoline Allora Purey-Cust on May 4, 1927. He was a Colonel and later a Brigadier General in the English Army. He died of heart failure in Scotland, while on a sport shooting.
