Knud was an innkeeper and brandy distiller in Copenhagen.

He married the widow Ane (or Anna) Marie Michelsdatter, born 1753 Sædder, Denmark on 16 Mar 1792. They lived at Adelgade 233 in Copenhagen.

On 21 Mar 1792 he is listed in the city guild book as a brandy distiller.

Ane died in 1801.

He married the spinster, Maren Svendsen, on 28 Nov 1801 in Hvidovre, Copenhagen. She was born about 1779 in Gimlinge, Denmark. She was a maid at the Valby Inn in Hvidovre.

From about 1809 - 1812 he was at the Flaskekroen Inn, Hvidovre. After that he bought the Skovshoved Inn which he ran until his death in 1834. He was buried at Gentofte, Copenhagen on 28 Oct 1834.

1. Peter Svendsen Borup, bap. 26 Nov 1802, Trinitatis Church, died 18 Aug 1845, buried 23 Aug 1845 at Nœrrebrogade, Copenhagen. Married Agathe Leonora Jydstrup Rasmussen (b. 7 Dec 1801, d. 23 Feb 1884 Copenhagen) on 24 Nov 1837 in Fruekirke, Copenhagen.

Two children: Octavia and Petrine.

- Petrine Wilhelmine Ferdinandine Borup, b. 9 Mar 1839. Married Johan Peter PETERSEN on 24 Oct 1857 at Friedrichsberg, Copenhagen.

- Octavia Marie Kirstine Borup, b. 2 July 1837. She married Jens Christian Theodor ALMIND on 29 Oct 1864 at Sokkelund, Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Octavia died 9 May 1906 at Friedriksberg. 3 children:

A. Anscarius Niels Peter Christian Almind, b. 4 Feb 1865, married Hansine Christine Betty (b. 26 Sep 1865). Child: Agnes Maria Octavia Almond b. 1 Nov 1896.

B. Niels Peter Christian Almind, b. 14 Oct 1867

C. "Pauli" Marcus Theophilus Almind b. 20 July 1873, d. 28 Jan 1896, buried at Friedrichsberg, Copenhagen.

2. Ane Marie Kirstine Knudsen Borup, b. 14 Mar 1804 Gentofte, Copenhagen, bap. 22 Apr 1804 Gentofte, confirmation in 1817 Gentofte. Married 9 Oct 1823 Ole JOHANSEN at Gentofte. Child: Johannes Otto b. 28 Sep 1829, bap. 20 Nov 1829. Her registered death aged 33 on 21 Mar 1837. Name: Kirstine Marie Johansen Borup.
