Mrs Dora Harris, wife of Mr J J Harris, died at the residence, 760 Barber street, at 5:30 Saturday afternoon after an illness that continued for three months. She was a native of Jackson county but had lived here for five years, making many friends and becoming an active member of the West End Baptist church.
Funeral services will be conducted from the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev Sam Wingfiueld, assisted by Rev J H Stewart of Mt Zion church. The burial will be in Oconee cemetery. McDorman-Bridges funeral home in charge.
She is survived by the following relatives: Husband, Mr J J Harris; two daughters, Mrs Frank Colbert, Mrs Eunice Nelms; seven sons, Mr Earnest Harris, Mr David Harris, Mr Jess Willard Harris, Mr John Millard Harris, Masters Jim Harris, Meeks Harris and Edmond Harris; sister, Mrs Lindy Morgan; two brothers, Mr Charlie Pirkle, Gainesville, Ga, and Mr Dolphus Pirkle, Gainesville, Ga.
