FORT ATKINSON - Mrs. Wilma R. Jeffrey, 62, of 522 Wilcox St., died unexpectedly at home Saturday of an apparent heart attack.

The former Wilma Abbott was born in Fort Atkinson Jan. 22, 1910, and was a graduate of Milton College. She was married to Henry E. Jeffrey in 1932 in Rockford. The couple made their home in Rock Island, Ill., for some time and Mrs. Jeffrey returned to Fort Atkinson several years ago. She was high school librarian in the Cambridge school system until her retirement in 1971, Mr. Jeffrey died in 1960.

Mrs. Jeffrey was a member of the Congregational Church and Daughters of the American Revolution, and was active in genealogy research for the Fort Fest.

Surviving are three sons, Maj. Henry E., stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., with the Army, William A. and Thomas B., both of Rock Island; three grandchildren; two brothers, Loren Abbott, Washington, Ill., and Charles Abbott, Rantoul, Ill.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Ellingson Funeral Home, Edgerton, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Albion.
