BERTHA (DAVIS) TITTSWORTH , 98, formerly of New Canton, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 7, 1987) in the Barry Commu­nity Care Center. Mrs. Tittsworth, a housewife, was born Aug. 25, 1888, in New Canton, the daughter of Jim and Margaret Padgett Davis. She attended New Canton schools. She married Fred Tittsworth in 1910 in Springfield. He died in 1963. Survivors include two sons, Jesse Tittsworth of Barry and Alfred Tittsworth of New Canton; four daughters, Mrs. Edna Constable of Pittsfield, Mrs. Edith Bowler of Florissant, Mo., Mrs. Ruth Heisinger of Sherman and Mrs. Grace Stephan of St. Louis; 17 grand­children; 52 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tittsworth was also pre­ceded in death by one sister, one brother and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at McNabb Funeral Home in Barry by the Rev. Wesley Osborn. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery in Barry.
