Hodge C. Claiborne, 87, of Jacksboro, died Monday, April 19 at the LaFollette Community Hospital.
He was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church and a retired coal miner.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida B. Claiborne; four sons, Ed Claiborne, Albert Claiborne, Escle Claiborne, and Billie Bartley; four daughters, Mrs. Clester Beeler, Mrs. Earl Goins, Mrs. Alta Shults, and Mrs. Ruth Weaver; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Don Claiborne.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Heatherly. Martin Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
