Funeral For Mrs. Nelson On Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Nelson, 69, will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel. Burial will be in the Holly Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Calvin Honea, pastor of the Brileytown Baptist Church, will officiate.
Mrs. Nelson was born Sept. 12, 1898, in Nacogdoches, the daughter of James Hieronimus and Emmy Owens Hieronimus. She died Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 9:30 a.m. in Porter, Texas. She was a resident of Shepherd, Texas.
Mrs. Nelson was the wife of the late Richard Nelson and was a member of the Baptist church. She had lived most of her life in Nacogdoches.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ibry Vick of Tennessee, and Mrs. Ruth Triana of Nacogdoches; one son, Henry D. Nelson of Baytown; three sisters, Mrs. W.H. Hamzy of Shepherd, Mrs. Tobe Clifton of Livingston, and Mrs. Robert Hutchison of Houston; and one brother, James Hieronimus of Lufkin; 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
