Shirley Aldinger, 50, of Two Harbors, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003, in the Sunrise Home.

She was born May 19, 1953, to Clarence and Helen (Anderson) Schuelke Sr. in Neillsville, Wis. She moved to Two Harbors with her family as a child and grew up and attended schools there, graduating from high school in 1971.


After working as a nurses aide at the Lake View Nursing Home for several years, she married Ken Aldinger in 1978 and together they worked in the construction industry in various cities across the Western United States. Shirley returned to Two Harbors in 1989 and continued to work construction for several years, and later was employed as a program coordinator for Duluth Regional Care Centers. She enjoyed snowmobiling, and time with her grandchildren.


Shirley is survived by her daughters, Tina (Keith) Gross of Burnsville and Rena (Jerry) Kramer of Hayden, Idaho; a son, Jason (Jodi) Aldinger of Fenton, Mich.; her former husband, Ken Aldinger; her parents, Clarence and Helen Schuelke of Two Harbors; brothers, Clarence Schuelke Jr. of Hopkins, Randolph and Jeffrey Schuelke of Two Harbors, and Mark Schuelke of Duluth; two sisters, Barbara Anderson of Two Harbors and Patricia Hale of Silver Bay; and six grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Shelby, Nathan, Noelle, and Rachel.
