Marriage of Stephan/Leona Grumann
Last Wednesday at 10 o'clock in the morning the marriage of Miss Leona Simonis and Mr. Stephan Grumann, two well known Two Rivers young people, was solemnized at St. Luke's church and was afterwards celebrated at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Simonis. The marriage ceremony at the church was pretty and impressive and was witnessed by a large number of the friends of the happy young people, who are very popular and highly esteemed by all who knew him in this city where they were born and reared. They were attended at the altar by Will Ahearn, Jr., as best man and Miss Augusta Simonis as bride's maid and the bridal party made a very attractive sight as the nuptial vows were being plighted. After the conclusion of the ceremony at the church and of the splendid wedding repast at the home of the bride's parents the bridal couple departed on a wedding trip to Denver and from there to Rollinsville, Colo., where a sister of the groom resides. The Chronicle extends its hearty congratulations, also its good wishes, but it has no fear that their future will not be happy for the alliance is a most suitable and happy one.
