Yarala Genene Sims-Arnold, age 59, passed this life on January 2, 2012, at her home in Sheldon, Missouri. Yarala was born to Howard Elmer Sims.and Velma Flo Woods(Rardin)(Mullin) Sims in Picher, Oklahoma. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry David Mullin, Troy Joe Rardin, Harold Everett Sims and Franklin Lloyd Sims. Prior to her death, Yarala had been married to Frank Arnold and they Divorced. Later Yarala met Billy Wayne Garner and they married and then they Divorced.
Yarala was a beautician for many years. Many of those years she was a beautician for Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar, Missouri. She loved helping the elder people doing there cut their hair, doing fingernails, and she liked to talk with them too.
Survivors include her children: Son: Dustin Shane and Sarah (Edwards) Arnold and their kids Jackson, Adrian an Lucas Arnold of the home. Daughter: Starletta Flo (Arnold)Messer & fiancé-Jeffery Teeters of Lebanon, Missouri her children Shelby and Garrett Nall, Stephen Tackett and Emily Tetters. Two sisters, Glenna C (Rardin) and Robert Keepper of Jasper. Zida ZoeAnn (Sims) and Edwin Lach of Southbridge, Mass. And Four brothers, John Logan Rardin and Leslie A Rardin of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Danny Eugene and Lynda Sims of Topeka, Kansas, Terry Lee Sims of Golden City, Missouri,and Howard Elmer Jr. and Genevieve Sims of Wichita, Kansas. Seventeen nieces and nephews and a host of other loved ones and friends.
Funeral services was held at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Missouri Saturday, January 7th at 9:00 A.M. The family received friends Friday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Daniel Funeral Home. Burial is in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. We loved our Sister.
